PE water supply pipeline test and acceptance operation

1.In order to eliminate the air in the PE water supply pipeline to be tested as far as possible, reduce the influence of air in the PE water supply pipe on the pressure test results, should do the following four points: ⁽¹⁾, as far as possible to set the intake in the PE water supply pipe to be tested the lowest point, the exhaust is set in the PE water supply pipe to be tested the highest point. To irrigate, open both the inlet and outlet valves. Close the exhaust valve slowly while water is flowing out. After the exhaust valve is fully closed, close the inlet valve. ⁽²⁾ The pressure gauge should be placed as far as possible at the lowest part of the pipe in that section. ^(3), increase the pressure to the required pressure value with a stable pressure boost speed, avoid a sudden rapid pressure boost. ⁽⁴⁾, PE to pipe under the test pressure, slowly open the exhaust valve, observe whether there is residual air discharge, if the water is continuous, uninterrupted, it shows that the gas pipeline to be tested has been completely drained, can close the exhaust valve.

2. PE water supply pipeline pressure test, in principle, without a valve for the test. But the condition does not allow to carry on the test with the valve, the valve in the pipeline to be tested must be greater than the test pressure. Before the hydrostatic test, open all the valves in the pipeline to be tested and tighten the water stop bolts of the valves.

3.The end of the pipeline to be tested must be sealed with a blind plugging plate, it is strictly prohibited to use the valve gate as a blind plugging plate.

4. Before the hydrostatic test, the pipeline should be covered with soil at certain intervals, especially for the snake pipeline, the pipeline should be fixed in the original position during the pressure test. For PE feed pipe installed with socket and rubber ring, the tee, corner bend and straight section of steel pipe must be fixed with concrete piers. Avoid socket detaching during hydrostatic test.

5.In the pipeline to be tested, the valve, tee, flange and other parts should be exposed to check whether leakage.

6. Raise the pipeline pressure to the working pressure and maintain it, and observe whether a significant pressure drop occurs. Then along the patrol, check the valve, tee, flange and other parts without visible leakage.

7.PE to the water pipe has a certain degree of expansion. In order to ensure the full expansion of the pipe, we can increase the pipe pressure and maintain it for 3-4 hours before the formal hydrostatic test on the premise that there is no leakage at the valve and flange joints in the pipeline to be tested. In this way, PE water supply pipe can be fully expanded to avoid the test pressure drop due to pipeline expansion in the pressure test process.
